The Kirkuk Journal of Engineering Science (KJES) welcomes high-quality original manuscripts that contribute significantly to the advancement of engineering knowledge. This guide provides essential information to help authors prepare and submit their research papers in accordance with the journal's standards and requirements.
All manuscripts must be submitted online through the KJES official submission system. Authors are required to create an account and follow the step-by-step submission process.
Manuscripts must be written in clear, grammatically correct English. The preferred format is Microsoft Word (.docx) with single-column layout, 12-point Times New Roman font, and 1.5 line spacing.
Research articles should include: Title, Abstract (150-250 words), Keywords (4-6), Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, Acknowledgments, and References.
Use the IEEE citation style. References should be numbered sequentially in the order they appear in the text. Ensure all references are accurate and complete.
Authors must ensure that their work is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration elsewhere. Proper attribution must be given to all sources, and any conflicts of interest must be declared.
All authors listed on the manuscript must have made significant contributions to the research and agree to its submission. The corresponding author takes responsibility for communication with the journal throughout the review and publication process.
Submit high-resolution images (300 dpi minimum) in JPEG, PNG, or TIFF format. Each figure must have a clear caption and be numbered sequentially.
Tables should be simple and include only essential data. Each table must have a clear title and be cited in the text. Supplementary data may be submitted as separate files.
All submissions undergo plagiarism screening using specialized software. Manuscripts with high similarity scores or unoriginal content will be rejected without review.
Before submitting, authors must ensure that their manuscript includes:
KJES uses a rigorous double-blind peer-review system. Two or more expert reviewers evaluate each submission for scientific merit, originality, methodology, and significance.
Authors receiving a "minor revision" or "major revision" decision must address all reviewer comments in a response letter and submit the revised manuscript within the specified timeframe.
After acceptance, manuscripts are copy-edited and published online ahead of print. The journal aims to complete the review process within 6-8 weeks of submission.
